Santander Universities UK Entrepreneur Award Pitches

Are you a Manchester Metropolitan University Undergraduate or Postgraduate student or graduate who would like to start a business?

If so, Innospace has Santander Universities UK Entrepreneur Grants of between £1000-2000 available to enable students and graduates to develop their entrepreneurial skills through start-up grants.

Apply and attend the Business Start Up Boot camp in early summer or November or the virtual programme to be eligible to apply.

·        Attend a compulsory 121 follow-on session after Boot Camp

·        Engage with your allocated mentor

·        Submit an application form outlining the amount of funding required and what you wish to spend the funding on

·        Submit a Business Model Canvas

·        Shortlisted applicants will be asked to pitch their idea to a panel of judges to demonstrate how the funding will help you accelerate your business.

Pitching to Perfection

To win business, to win investment, to win the best employees, you have to present an irresistible proposition – the pitch.

This workshop helps you develop the irresistible pitch – from a 30 second “elevator pitch” to a full investment pitch.  There are some vital secrets to a great pitch which will be revealed.  The workshop is highly interactive with the opportunity to develop and test your pitching skills.

If you want to work on your pitch and know the key elements to add to the perfect pitch, then this session is a must!

If you are looking to pitch your idea to a panel of judges for the Santander Universities Entrepreneur Award where you can pitch for a grant of up to £1000-2000, I would highly recommend that you attend this session.  Please note to be eligible to pitch, you must first complete the Business Start Up Boot Camp and be a Manchester Met student or graduate.

To attend this programme you must have a business idea or social enterprise idea that you want to develop or grow and we ask you to be available for all 7 days of this intensive programme.

At this practical workshop you'll gain an overview of the key principles of innovation and explore tools to help you prepare your business for innovation.

Underpinning frameworks

We'll discuss the latest innovation trends, common pitfalls, how to prepare for ‘Creative Destruction' and the the role of technology.

We'll also cover the different types of innovation, from incremental to radical, and the potential impact on businesses.

Incepting Innovation Processes

How ready is your business to innovate? We'll look at ‘Innovation Triage’ in terms of the capacity your business has to scope, initiate and deliver innovation.

What resources do you have to begin the innovation process? How can you be sure that you can deliver on your ideas?This session focuses on how best to prepare you, your team and your business to give you the best shot of turning your ideas into income.

Conclusion and Q&A

We'll wrap up the workshop with a summary of the points and open the floor for a Q&A session. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions, share your thoughts, or discuss specific challenges you're facing in your business.
